Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress who is best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. She was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of high school after her parents split up to move into Los Angeles to live with her mother. In 2001, despite her financial struggles, she was able get her first significant role in the online video show Rachel's Room playing the main character. Gyllenhaal began her career as a screenwriter and director in 2021, when she directed and wrote her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter.
